Job summary

Johnson Brothers, a leading family-owned distributor of wine, spirits, and beer in the Twin Cities, is seeking a Sales Consultant in Training. This role supports, services, and maintains accounts in the Twin Cities area and trains for future sales territory ownership.

The position involves stocking shelves, building displays, following deliveries, and servicing liquor department areas. It also includes driving growth through promotions, in-store tastings, and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in liquor industry preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Local candidates preferred (no relocation package).

Responsibilities

• Travels around assigned territory to service accounts.
• Check quantities of goods on display, cold box placements, in stock and service the accounts.
• Fills shelves from displays and back stock to minimize out-of-stock items.
• Develops and maintains relationships with customers.
• Communicates with Sales Representatives regarding buyer preferences, inventory and shelf space.

This Sales Consultant in Training position supports, services, and maintains accounts in the Twin Cities area. This position is responsible for stocking shelves, coolers and building displays. In addition, this position will follow up after the deliveries are made by our drivers and service shelves from the liquor department storage areas. Candidates may also be responsible for achieving sales objectives, territory management, selling current and new products, promotions, in-store tastings, and servicing accounts. This position is intended to train new personnel who will eventually have a sales territory.

Job Responsibilities

• Travels around assigned territory to service accounts
• Check quantities of goods on display, cold box placements, in stock and service the accounts
• Fills shelves from displays and back stock to ensure out of stock items are minimized.
• Develops and maintains relationships with customers.
• Communicates with Sales Representatives regarding changes in buyer’s preferences, out of stock inventory, oversight in shelf space and any concerns/situations encountered during business hours.
• Build and develop trust and a strong working relationship of the retailer by upholding Johnson Brothers corporate values, have excellent customer service and a "can-do" attitude.
• Perform other work-related tasks and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Work experience in the liquor industry, such as: bartender, wait staff, liquor store experience, etc. a plus.
• Goal and results oriented.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize work.
• Competitive, self-motivated and customer service orientated.
• Professional written and oral communication skills a must.
• Have reliable transportation with valid insurance.
• Good driving record.
• Ability to lift to 50-pound cases, sometimes repeatedly.
• Local candidates preferred (no relocation package)

The expected pay range for this role is $21.63/hr.
