Professional Search Manager - Operations/Supply Chain
Summary:
The Market Manager is responsible for driving new business and expanding presence across the assigned Southwestern region. Focus is on large commercial and industrial (C&I) clients likely to use multiple energy and sustainability solutions. This includes community solar, VPPAs, energy efficiency, engineering services, carbon tracking, and sustainability-related training.
Primary goals:
- Identify and develop relationships with new clients
- Promote bundled energy solutions to existing and prospective customers
- Convert pipeline into signed contracts
- Maintain long-term client relationships with ongoing support
Responsibilities:
1. Business Development
- Identify and prospect large C&I organizations, institutions, and associations
- Key sectors: public agencies, higher education, manufacturing, food processing, commercial real estate, large-format retail
- Build and manage pipeline in CRM through outbound outreach, referrals, events, and associations
- Set and execute sales plans aligned with revenue goals and market research
2. Solution Selling
- Conduct client assessments to understand energy use, sustainability targets, and budget
- Educate prospects on services such as energy procurement, VPPA programs, carbon tracking, and engineering services
- Tailor proposals and presentations to client-specific needs
- Overcome objections with financial and environmental data
3. Relationship Management
- Serve as key contact from initial outreach through post-sale implementation
- Maintain trust with clear communication, timely follow-ups, and coordination with internal teams
- Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and support staff for project execution
4. Market Feedback & Reporting
- Track regional regulatory developments and market trends
- Document sales activity and updates in CRM
- Report insights to internal teams to inform product and marketing decisions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, environmental science, or related field—or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of sales or business development experience in clean energy, sustainability, or similar fields
- Familiarity with clean energy technologies and environmental reporting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, fast-paced environment
- Proficient with CRM software and Microsoft Office tools
- Full-time, remote
