Job summary

Mossy Automotive Group, based in Southern California and serving Oceanside, CA, is seeking a dynamic Sales Consultant to sell New and Pre-Owned vehicles and related products, while hitting unit volume quotas, gross profit targets and ensuring high customer satisfaction. Employees in this role are primarily commission-based with a base minimum wage for non-sales work and rest periods.

Expect average annual commissions of about $60,000 to $120,000, plus comprehensive benefits and growth

• Establishing daily, weekly and monthly prospecting and sales goals, prioritizing and organizing work and productive results, and utilizing time effectively.
• Build relationships and create customers for life by guiding them to vehicle choices and understanding needs.
• Know product offerings, packages, and latest technology to demonstrate value.
• Perform high-quality demonstrations of new/used vehicles.
• Follow-up with buyers to ensure referral business.
• Learn to overcome objections and comply with regulations.
• Report objectives and activity to sales manager.
• Bring a positive attitude with you every day and close sales to maximize gross profit.
• Maintain post-sale follow-up for satisfaction and repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships & create customers for life. Assist them in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
• Be the vehicle expert. Know the in’s & the out’s of product offerings, optional packages & latest technology and aftermarket products and services.
• Perform high-quality and professional demonstrations of new/used vehicles.
• Follow-up with buyers to ensure referral business.
• Learn to overcome objections and thrive in sales situations; complying with all company, DMV, state and federal requirements.
• Direct report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
• Bring your ‘A game’ & positive attitude with you every day
• Efficiently closing sales to attain optimal gross profit; properly computing financial aspects of sales transactions.
• Consistently follow up after sales to assure client satisfaction and opportunity for additional sales and more return purchase.
