Overview

A Sales Consultant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, performing duties accurately and efficiently, and adhering to company policies to ensure customer satisfaction and effective store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and thank customers courteously, offering fast and friendly service
  • Promote sales by explaining product and service benefits
  • Perform vehicle inspections and communicate maintenance requirements
  • Handle sales duties including pricing, promotions, suggestive selling, and stock management
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • Participate in weekly meetings to review safety, policies, and product updates
  • Monitor customer areas and manage waiting customers
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Support inventory control and physical counts
  • Complete sales reports and monitor daily sales and gross profit
  • Assist with merchandising, advertising, and promotions
  • Prepare sales documentation such as warranties and service agreements
  • Conduct accurate sales transactions and report discrepancies
  • Manage ticket averages and store profitability
  • Maintain facility appearance and protect assets
  • Build relationships with customers and staff, motivating team members
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and handle customer complaints professionally
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment
  • Adhere to safety and regulatory standards
  • Follow work schedules and communicate professionally with management and staff
  • Assist in training new employees
  • Perform general cleaning and stocking duties
  • Complete required training promptly
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, and after hours as needed
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to learn technical information and operate office equipment
  • Safe operation of vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
  • Effective communication with customers
  • Willingness to handle hazardous materials and work outdoors
  • Compliance with PPE regulations
  • Good sensory abilities (vision, hearing, speech, odor detection)
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 75 pounds
  • Successful completion of pre-employment screening including drug, MVR, and background checks
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred Skills

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in an automotive environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Fast-paced work ability, detail-oriented, and organized
