Job summary

Nelson Auto Center in Fergus Falls, MN is seeking an automotive sales consultant to help customers find and purchase vehicles. You will build rapport, guide buyers through the full process, present pricing and financing options, and collaborate with finance, management and service teams.

This role offers a base training salary with strong commission potential and an industry-leading benefits package. Training is thorough, and a supportive team culture encourages your growth and career

Qualifications

• Previous automotive sales experience preferred; not required — training provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outgoing, friendly personality with a passion for helping customers.
• Willingness to work weekends.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a commission-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with customers to understand their needs, preferences, and budget.
• Guide customers through the full vehicle selection and purchasing process from start to finish.
• Conduct informative and engaging vehicle demonstrations and test drives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive product knowledge across our vehicle inventory.
• Prepare and present accurate pricing quotes and financing options.
• Collaborate with finance, management, and service departments to ensure a seamless buying experience.
• Follow up with prospective and past customers to maintain relationships and generate referrals.
• Maintain accurate customer records and follow up with leads through our CRM system.
• Meet and exceed monthly sales goals and performance metrics.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required
• Availability to work weekends as needed

Compensation:

This is a 3-month base training salary + commission position with more than average compensation

Supplemental pay types:
