Job summary

Kele Inc. is seeking a Sales Consultant to provide excellent customer service at the branch sales counter, over the phone, and via email. The role includes quoting, order entry, and supporting the outside sales team on medium and large projects.

The candidate will develop product knowledge from the company catalog and vendor offerings, assist with literature requests, and help with shipping and inventory duties as needed.

  • Handle literature requests for pricing, data sheets and other information.
  • Perform shipping, receiving and inventory duties as required.

Sales Consultant

The primary role of the Sales Consultant is to work with all branch team members to proactively meet our customers’ expectations by delivering exceptional customer service at the branch sales counter, over the phone, and via email.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Assist walk-in customers and respond to inbound sales calls and emails
  • Place outgoing phone calls to customers to obtain required information to complete the sale of a previously ordered product or service
  • Provide quotes, order entry, order follow up, product and application information and other requests as required by the customer
  • Address all sales backlog issues to ensure accurate and expedient order shipment
  • Accurately enter and acknowledge orders placed via phone, fax, mail, e-mail and/or customer’s electronic PO portal
  • Proactive problem solve for customers who have experienced an error with their order and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist customers with use and navigation of the company website and catalog
  • Handle literature requests for pricing, data sheets and other requested information
  • Resolve customer concerns pertaining to products and services
  • Support outside sales team as needed through product selection support, quoting, estimating and order creation for medium and large-scope projects
  • Supporting automation contractors with software licensing
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of products in the company catalog and other products our vendors offer
  • Participate in training opportunities and self-study to increase product and industry knowledge and improve personal performance
  • Perform shipping, receiving and inventory duties as required
Qualifications

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly; use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate equipment; and reach with hands and arms. Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and keyboard functions is required. The employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday. The position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
