Job summary

David Weekley Homes in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Sales & Construction Leader in Training to manage your new-home communities as a thriving business. You will lead cross-functional teams of Sales Consultants, Builders, and Warranty Service Managers to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet financial goals.

The role includes an initial training period, a focus on developing people, strong operation discipline, and partnership with Sales to drive pricing, incentives, and market visibility.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of people leadership in the construction industry.
  • 3+ years leadership with full P&L responsibility for a multi-million-dollar business, department, or project.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction processes and sales operations.
  • Experience managing budgets, business operations, and contracts/legal documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable.
  • Relocation willingness strongly preferred.

  • Maintain high-quality standards for homes and ensure alignment with company expectations.
  • Resolve issues that arise in your projects to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Work effectively with developers, Land, Architecture/ARB, government agencies, and internal teams.
  • Accountable for homeowner customer-delight results of your project team.

  • Accountable for homeowner customer-delight results of your project team
    • Minimum 5 years of experience leading and developing people within the construction industry
    • Experience leading a high-performing sales team or at least 3 years of leadership experience with full P&L responsibility for a multi-million-dollar business, department, or project
    • Strong understanding of residential construction processes and sales operations
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field preferred
    • Experience managing budgets, business operations, and contracts/legal documentation
    • Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance while balancing operational excellence and customer satisfaction
    • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable for results
    • High degree of integrity, professionalism, sound judgment, and accountability
    • Resourceful, innovative, and proactive with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
    • Collaborative leader with a passion for developing people, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and continuously learning
