Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sales Compensation Administration Analyst to support end-to-end commission processing, analytics, and system enhancements within the Varicent environment. You will partner with IT, Sales Finance, and Total Rewards to ensure accurate calculations, audits, and compliant processes across multiple operating units.

This role requires a 2+ year background in compensation or finance, strong Excel skills, and experience with compensation systems.

  • Experience with compensation systems and data analysis.
  • Strong collaboration across functions and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

The team administers sales compensation programs, maintains commission systems, supports compliance activities, and partners with Sales Finance, Total Rewards, and Information Technology (IT) to ensure accurate and effective compensation operations.As a Sales Compensation Administration Analyst, you will support the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of sales compensation programs and systems. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate commission processing, maintain system integrity, support audits and compliance activities, and help deliver enhancements that improve sales compensation operations.At Medtronic, we bring bold ideas forward with speed and decisiveness to put patients first in everything we do. We’re working a minimum of 4 days a week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.Primary ResponsibilitiesAdminister commission and incentive compensation processing within the Varicent system.Support sales employee promotions, compensation changes, and sales incentive programs.Partner with Information Technology (IT) to maintain and enhance sales compensation systems and processes.Gather business requirements and support the implementation of system enhancements and reporting improvements.Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and validation activities for commission calculations, system updates, and reports.Provide analytical support and reporting for business partners and stakeholders.Complete monthly and quarterly commission audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control activities.Document and maintain compensation processes, procedures, and workflow standards while identifying opportunities for process improvement.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree and 2+ years of compensation, payroll, or finance experience OR Advanced degree.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting compensation, payroll, finance, or related business processes.Experience working with data, reporting, audits, or business process administration.Experience collaborating across functions to support operational or system-related initiatives.Experience with Varicent, Workday, or other compensation management systems.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Experience with analytical tools and quantitative or qualitative data analysis techniques.Experience supporting customer-facing or high-interaction business environments requiring confidentiality and attention to detail.Knowledge of Medtronic products, business functions, sales policies, and compensation processes.For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
