JOB SUMMARY:

The Channel Account Manager, Distribution, is responsible for driving performance, growth, and strategic alignment across Avocor’s network of North American distributors. This individual leads the execution of the distribution strategy with a focus on achieving sales targets, expanding business development opportunities, enhancing profitability, and ensuring high levels of distributor satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and nurture profitable partnerships with strategically aligned distributors.
  • Develop and execute segment-specific distribution strategies.
  • Lead regular business reviews (monthly/quarterly) to track distributor performance and identify improvement areas.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources including sales, marketing, training, and customer service to support distributor success.
  • Recruit, onboard, and manage distributors, ensuring alignment with Avocor’s brand and performance expectations.
  • Implement joint partner planning processes, setting mutual goals, KPIs, and financial targets.
  • Manage and direct funded Business Development Managers aligned to distribution.
  • Monitor inventory levels and propose proactive solutions for slow-moving or excess stock.
  • Maintain clear and regular communication with internal stakeholders, providing data-driven insights and strategic analysis to the VP of Sales.
  • Prevent and manage channel conflicts through transparent communication and adherence to engagement rules.
  • Oversee and execute partner contracts and sales plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience managing B2B channel or distribution partners, preferably in the technology or AV sectors.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and partner relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive distributor performance against KPIs.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on performance-based incentives.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required for distributor meetings and events.
