POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate is responsible for supporting Management in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture. This includes ensuring a great customer experience and maximum profitability, aligning with our values and guiding principles. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive for Results
  • Meet company sales goals by utilizing sales techniques and communicating product knowledge; recommend merchandise or assist customers in locating merchandise based on their needs.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, pricing, and visual standards.
  • Handle merchandise, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as directed by Management.
  • Participate in visual directives, including store sets and zone maintenance.
Customer Experience
  • Model and promote the MAPS principles, offering a cohesive omni-channel experience.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure a fast, efficient register experience, staying current on policies regarding payments, coupons, returns, exchanges, and security.
  • Encourage buying decisions at checkout and achieve add-on goals like gift card sales.
  • Sign up clients for the reward program.
  • Build and maintain a customer following through clienteling and wardrobing.
  • Know current product fit and style offerings online and in-store.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers using a customer book.
Operational Excellence
  • Support replenishment activities to keep the store full.
  • Assist with locate fulfillment.
  • Help with visual directives, including floor sets and signage.
  • Assist with store cleanliness and organization.
Teamwork and Growth
  • Promote an inclusive, collaborative approach to problem solving.
  • Seek personal development opportunities and feedback.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary across brands.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Retail or sales experience preferred
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn or adapt to company technology
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and management
  • Regular attendance and flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Constant walking/standing for 67-100% of an 8-hour shift
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33%)
  • Frequent climbing (34-66%)
