POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Sales Associate supports management in promoting a customer- and product-focused sales culture. This role emphasizes delivering excellent customer experiences and maximizing store profitability, aligning with our values and guiding principles. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive for Results

• Meet sales goals by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge; assist customers in locating merchandise based on their needs.
• Stay informed about current sales, promotions, and maintain pricing and visual standards.
• Handle merchandise properly, ensure presentation quality, prevent loss, and follow management directives.
• Participate in visual directives, including store set-ups and zone maintenance.

Customer Experience

• Model and promote the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, providing a seamless omni-channel experience.
• Address customer concerns promptly.
• Ensure efficient checkout processes, staying current on payment policies, coupons, returns, and security practices.
• Encourage buying decisions at checkout, promote gift card sales, and enroll clients in reward programs.
• Build and maintain a loyal customer base through clienteling and wardrobing.
• Know current product fit and style offerings both in-store and online.
• Maintain ongoing communication with customers via customer books.

Operational Excellence

• Support replenishment activities to keep the store well-stocked.
• Assist with locate fulfillment and visual displays, including floor sets and signage.
• Help maintain store cleanliness and organization.

Teamwork and Growth

• Foster an inclusive, collaborative problem-solving environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Preferred retail or sales experience.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
• Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and management.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Constant walking and standing for most of an 8-hour shift.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent climbing.
