The Sales Associate is the customer service specialist of the store. They are responsible for exceeding customer expectations by listening to customer needs, finding products that meet their needs and closing the sale.

THE LOFT by Lee Douglas Interiorsis a distinctive shopping experience where each of our themed areas features hand-selected styles that reflect the fun and inspiring spaces. From The Dining Room – where the perfect dinner setting requires no reservation, to the Kitchen, each room is inviting and inspirational.
Come experience a new shopping revelation! In Lincoln experience eleven themed rooms in a renovated 100 years old home. In our spacious Omaha location each space is themed and inviting. We encourage you to take your time and browse, or allow our experienced staff to guide you through our unique gifts and home decor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a fun, full-service shopping experience to customers
- Ensure clients are greeted and welcomed with genuine enthusiasm. Establish a rapport with all clients
- Inform clients of additional services provided by Lee Douglas Interiors (LDI) – Lincoln and Omaha shoppable showroom locations, remodels, new builds, consultation, design, etc.
- Consistently and accurately follow up on client issues in a timely manner
- Openly communicate feedback to the Store Manager
- Process register transactions accurately and efficiently, including wrapping and packaging their purchases
- Maintain company integrity through merchandising
- Passionately speak to clients about The Loft and Lee Douglas Interiors with the understanding of current design trends
- Maintain the presentation of the store by conducting regular cleaning duties and product standards
- Maintain company and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, etc.)
- Manage customer needs and exceed expectations by utilizing the LDI Way standards, following the Lee Douglas Interiors policies and procedures
- Assist Lee Douglas Interiors’ Warehouse department by processing shipment and deliveries when necessary and ensure all merchandise is represented on the showroom floor
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the Store Manager
- Some travel may be required to our other locations
- Follow all loss prevention practices and protect company assets
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-2+ years experience in retail or home décor sales preferred
- Ability to exceed sales goals and all company expectations
- Ability to merchandise effectively and on-brand
- Ask questions, seek clarity and come up with solutions
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Must have working knowledge of current technology i.e. MAC, PC
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb, lift, reach and bend
