Job summary

Sunshine Ace Hardware in Marco Island, FL is hiring a Sales Associate for the Paint Department. In this full-time role you greet customers, advise on color choices, and assist with projects, while stocking paint and related products.

You will develop product knowledge on paints, finishes, warranties, and brand lines, and actively promote sales by recommending complementary items. The position requires physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of commercial/residential paint (mixing, color matching) preferred.
• Previous retail experience and customer service background required.
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers and teammates.
• Skilled at providing prompt, friendly, attentive service.
• Ability to visually distinguish colors and color match.

Your Role

About You

• Ability to visually distinguish, coordinate and eye color match
• Ability to lift, load, and stock up to 5-gallon containers of product to a height of 4 feet throughout the day
• Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate, but not constant, physical effort - typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stopping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
• Ability to frequently lift heavy items up to 40 pounds unassisted (above 40 pounds using team lift or equipment)
