Job summary

Eyeglass World, part of National Vision, seeks a Sales Associate - Optical Specialist for a part-time role in our Mesa, AZ store. You will deliver warm, personalized service, guide customers through eyewear selection and fittings, and ensure each guest leaves confident in their eyewear and experience.

The position supports patient flow and in-store operations, finishes eyewear with precision, and maintains a clean, organized space.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.
• Ability to educate customers effectively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Serve as a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand-aligned handoff.
• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion.
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas.
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively.
• Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction.
• Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store.
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience.
