Job summary

Eyeglass World, part of National Vision, seeks a part-time Sales Associate - Optical Specialist. You will provide warm, personalized service, guide customers through eyewear selection and fitting, and ensure a polished handoff to pickup while maintaining brand standards.

This role supports optometrists and store flow, finishing eyewear with precision and delivering an elevated customer experience. High school diploma and 1+ year relevant experience required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and the experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand-aligned handoffs.
• Model Eyeglass World service standards and uphold brand presentation.

Essential Functions

Create an Exceptional Customer Experience

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience

Support Clinical & In Store Flow

• Assist with patient flow and pre exam screenings to support Optometrists
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments
• Serve as a calm, knowledgeable presence throughout the customer journey

Own Finish & Quality Excellence

• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks
• Ensure all eyewear meets Eyeglass World standards for fit, function, and presentation
• Prepare orders for pickup and deliver polished, brand-aligned handoff

Operate with Precision & Care

• Support order entry, tracking, and timely completion
• Maintain organized, clean, and efficient finish and retail areas
• Identify and resolve quality or service issues proactively

Bring the Brand to Life

• Model Eyeglass World service standards, tone, and behaviors in every interaction
• Uphold visual, experiential, and operational brand standards in the store
• Partner with the store team to deliver a consistent and elevated experience

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Work Experience

• 1+ year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required)
