The Salvation Army (TSA) Adult Rehabilitation Center (ARC) is a no-fee program that assists men and women in completing our rehabilitation program. ABOUT OUR RETAIL TEAM

Join the dedicated Retail Team at The Salvation Army! Together, we serve and impact our local community by embodying the mission to “Do The Most Good” at our Anaheim (Katella) Store, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program. This role offers an opportunity to promote a positive shopping and donor experience, improve customer service, develop problem-solving and teamwork skills, and contribute to the success of our Program and its participants.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Sales Associate / Material Handler, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers and donors genuinely, providing prompt and courteous assistance to meet their needs.
  • Stocking priced items for display on the sales floor.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the store and donation areas, including performing cleaning duties as assigned.
  • Following all POS/Cash Register policies in accordance with TSA procedures.
  • Ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
  • Attending monthly store meetings as required.
  • Receiving, unloading, and stocking incoming inventory accurately and efficiently.
  • Inspecting products for defects and damages to ensure quality assurance.
  • Assisting donors with removal of donated items from vehicles and providing receipts.
  • Sorting and stacking donated materials properly as instructed by management.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate POS/Cash Register and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Must pass a background check, including criminal history and sex offender registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  • Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as carts, fixtures, and merchandise.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Duties must be performable with or without reasonable accommodation.
PAY AND SCHEDULE

Pay Rate: $16.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • Our stores operate 7 days a week; work schedules are determined by management. Flexibility is required to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Part-time shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent required.
