Job summary

The Paper Store in Columbia, MD is hiring a Part Time Sales Associate to deliver a memorable shopping experience using our GUEST service approach. You will ring up customers at the POS, stock shelves, and help keep the store clean and inviting while building product knowledge for better recommendations.

Flexibility is required to work nights, weekends and holidays. Previous retail experience is a plus, and you should be comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in specialty retail is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to multitask while attending to customers and adapting to business needs.

• Greet and welcome customers warmly and understand needs.
• Explain product features and benefits with in-depth knowledge.
• Suggest additional items to increase sales using effective selling techniques.
• Thank the customer sincerely and invite them to return and shop with us again.
• Be a TPS brand ambassador and maintain a positive work environment.
• Support all sales efforts across channels and maintain accurate customer data.
• Merchandise products following visual guidelines and keep store clean.
