Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Sales Associate (15 hours / week including Saturdays) with a passion for nature to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a retail setting providing excellent customer service, a desire to learn, and a team‑player mentality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service: Greet and assist customers, and provide expert advice on bird feeding, birdwatching, and nature‑related products.
• Retail experience or similar required.
• Must have a desire to deliver high‑energy customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced setting and spend extended periods on your feet.
• Comfortable with computers and able to use a computer‑based POS system (training provided).

Qualifications

• Interest in the backyard bird feeding hobby or nature is preferred but not required. We will train you!
• Comfortable actively engaging customers with all aspects of the backyard bird feeding hobby. From bird feeders to bird seed to bird baths & houses. Again, We will train you!
• Minimum 3 years experience selling in a retail type environment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20-50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will include closing and weekend shifts, and working during busy holiday periods and sales.
• Licensed Driver with 5+ years of good driving history.
