Job summary

Wild Birds Unlimited of Wake Forest is seeking a Part-Time Sales Associate with a passion for nature to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, a desire to learn, and a team-player mentality.

We offer flexible hours, a positive work environment, and opportunities to grow within a growing North American franchise. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required; training will be provided for product knowledge and POS use.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service and/or retail preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20-50 lbs repeatedly.
• Flexible schedule including closing, weekends, and holiday periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service: greet customers and provide expert advice on bird feeding and nature-related products.
• Assist customers and operate in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Must be able to lift 20-40 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
• Use a computer-based POS system (training provided).

• Deliver outstanding customer service: Greet and assist customers, and provide expert advice on bird feeding, birdwatching, and nature-related products.
• Retail experience preferred but not required,
• Must have a desire to deliver high-energy customer service,
• Must be able to consistently lift 20-40 lbs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and spend extended periods on your feet.
• Comfortable with computers and able to use a computer-based POS system (training provided).

Qualifications

• Interest in the backyard bird feeding hobby or nature is preferred but not required. We will train you!
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20-50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will include closing and weekend shifts, and working during busy holiday periods and sales.
