Dufry Careers in Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is seeking a Duty Free Sales Associate to provide friendly, attentive service in a busy, airport environment.

You will greet customers, operate the cash register, and help shoppers find products while staying compliant with store policies and security. This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays, plus employee discounts and benefits.

Qualifications

• Lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be over 21 to sell alcohol and tobacco products.
• Prior experience operating a cash register.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and greet customers as they enter the store.
• Follow all company policies, cash handling policies and loss prevention procedures.
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and store management.
• Operate a cash register.
• Know store layout to assist customers and answer questions about products.
• Be familiar with surrounding businesses within the facility.
• Communicate pricing, stock and inventory issues with management.
• Assist with security in stores and maintain order.
• Inform management of any out-of-stock situations.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized store environment.
• Assist with book inventory processes (ordering, receiving, returns).
• Perform related work as assigned.

Duty Free Sales Associate Key Responsibilities:

• Acknowledge and greet customers as they enter the store
• Follow all company policies, cash handling policies and special store loss prevention procedures
• Communicate effectively with customers, fellow employees, and store management
• Effectively operate a cash register
• Know basic store layout to assist customers in their selection of product and be able to answer customer questions about the entire store
• Be knowledgeable and familiar with the surrounding businesses/offerings within the facility
• Communicate pricing, out of date, and inventory issues with management
• Assist other store employees in maintaining security in stores
• Inform management of any out of stock situations
• Help maintain a neat, clean, organized store, which includes sweeping, dusting, and straightening of merchandise on store fixtures and displays
• Assist with book inventory process (i.e., ordering, receiving, returns)
• Perform related work as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to interact with diverse personalities
• High degree of interpersonal skills
• Be able to lift 20 pounds
• Be over the age of 21, as required by law in order to sell alcohol and tobacco products
• Prior experience operating a cash register
