Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to support our gift shops across Jamestown Settlement, the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, and the Central Support Complex.
You will handle transactions, assist with receiving orders, stock shelves, and keep shops clean, while delivering friendly customer service 362 days a year, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Holiday and weekend work is required.

The Sales Associate supports the retail operations of the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation by processing gift shop transactions accurately and in a timely manner, while providing excellent customer service. Additional duties including assisting with receiving orders, stocking shelves and keeping the shops and related areas clean and presentable.
This part-time position requires working at Jamestown Settlement, American Revolution Museum at Yorktown and the Phillip G. Emerson Central Support Complex. Museum shops are open 362 days a year, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Occasionally, sales associates may be needed on site later or earlier for special events or other retail operations functions. Holiday and weekend work is required.
We are looking for candidates with flexible availability to match the increased needs of the museum shops.
Knowledge of-
Specialty retail store or other customer-service oriented settings.
Industry best practices in cash handling and processing transactions.
Skilled in-
Excellent communication, both oral and written.
Providing excellent internal and external customer service.
Using computerized point-of-sale system.
Ability to-
Assist with stocking and maintaining a clean workplace.
The ideal candidates will have the ability to appreciate product merchandise, communicate key selling features to guests, provide a warm and friendly environment and remain calm in busy situations.
