Job summary

Dixie Belle Paint Company is seeking a Sales Associate to develop and maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, wholesale customers, and trade partners while driving sales growth across all brands. The role focuses on onboarding new accounts, securing retailer approvals, and expanding our retail network, with a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate account information, timely follow-ups, and smooth order processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least two years of sales experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in wholesale, retail, or B2B sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with retailers, distributors, wholesale customers, and trade partners.

The Sales Associate is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with retailers, distributors, wholesale customers, and trade partners while supporting sales growth and customer retention across all company brands. This position manages new account onboarding, retailer approvals, account development, outside sales, and customer retention. The Sales Associate works collaboratively with internal departments to ensure a positive customer experience, accurate account information, and continued growth of the company's retail and wholesale network.

Essential Functions

• Develop new business through prospecting, outside sales, retailer visits, and relationship building.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales through additional products, brands, and account development.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire new retailers, wholesale customers, distributors, and trade partners.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers to support sales growth.
• Work toward established sales goals, account acquisition targets, and customer growth objectives.
• Maintain accurate records of customer communications, sales activities, and account updates.
• Process new retailer, wholesale customer, distributor, DIY craft store, and trade partner applications.
• Add and maintain accurate account information in LACRM, Shopify, and Vertex.
• Send retailer approval emails and process reinstated accounts and retailer upgrades.
• Conduct 45- and 90-day follow-ups with new retailers to encourage engagement, identify needs, and support initial purchases.
• Stay informed about company products, promotions, and sales policies.
• Support promotional campaigns, new product launches, and other sales initiatives.
• Perform other sales, customer service, administrative, and operational duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of sales experience.

• Experience in wholesale, retail, or business-to-business sales preferred.
• Knowledge of DIY, crafting, home decor, or related industries is a plus.

Must be able to communicate using verbal, written and hearing abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
