Job summary

Toole's Ace Hardware is hiring friendly, customer-focused team members to welcome and assist shoppers. Previous hardware experience is a plus, but not required, because we provide extensive training. This locally owned store values community service and helping neighbors complete their projects.

You'll work on the sales floor assisting customers, stocking and pricing merchandise, and maintaining a clean, organized store. With training, you may operate a forklift and handle propane.

Qualifications

• No prior hardware experience required; extensive training provided.
• Able to lift 25–30 lbs.
• Able to stand for 6–8 hours per shift.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with project needs.
• Receive, stock, and price merchandise; keep store tidy.
• Assist with forklift operation and propane filling after training.
• Contribute to a fast-paced, high-energy store atmosphere.
• Stand for most of the shift and lift 25–30 lbs.

What to expect:

• You’ll work directly with customers welcoming them and helping them find everything necessary to complete their project in one trip.
• You'll also be helping receive, stock, and price all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly store.
• With proper training, you may also be driving a forklift, filling propane, and performing other in-store services.
• Like working in a fast-paced and fun environment? We are high energy so time will fly.
• You’ll be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
• You must be able to lift 25 to 30 lbs.
