Tacoma-Pierce County Habitat for Humanity is seeking a Sales Associate to join our mission-driven team in Spanaway, WA. You will assist customers, deliver outstanding service, and support our sales objectives while helping create a positive shopping experience and upholding our organization's values.

This part-time, non-exempt role offers up to 30 hours per week with day shifts and weekend availability. The position pays $17.69 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Three years’ retail sales experience preferred.
• Retail experience with construction or building materials/hardware preferred.
• Routing/scheduling and/or logistics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Driver in efficient pick-up schedules and routes for the Store Truck(s)
• Interacting positively with donors and customers
• Assisting with the retail operation, including operating the cash registers and making sales
• Providing superior customer service to donors and customers
• Adhering to All Store policies and procedures
• Load and unload donation trucks

Skills

Knowledge of fair market value of new,

Superior customer service, experience

Lifting up to 50 pounds and outdoor/wt

Excellent speaking and writing skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Bilingual preferred

Education

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds, performing heavy manual tasks, work standing or walking for long periods of time and be capable of performing outside duties under all weather conditions
• Excellent speaking and writing skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Bilingual Preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the store
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling and the moving of items and furniture to maintain visual appearance of the store
• Occasional ladder climbing
