NORMAN’S Hallmark in Olney, MD is seeking a Part Time Sales Associate to join our employee-owned team. You will help customers, process sales, and deliver a caring, engaging shopping experience on the floor.

As a Sales Associate you’ll learn our CARE program, stay knowledgeable about merchandise, restock displays, and support store goals. This role offers a flexible schedule, and perks include a 25% discount and incentive contests.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible schedule including events, holidays, evenings, and weekends.
• Strong aptitude for basic math functions including percentages and general arithmetic.
• Ability to continuously stand/walk; frequently push/pull; occasionally bend/stoop/crawl/reach above shoulders/kneel; lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Infuse our CARE program into the culture of the store and drive retail sales while connecting with the customer.
• Put the customer first and provide an exceptional in-store experience.
• Meet store enrollment goals for the Crown Rewards program.
• Learn and operate the register system to ensure accurate cash handling and a pleasant checkout.
• Develop selling skills to build sales and customer satisfaction.
• Learn product knowledge for all merchandise to inform customers effectively.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

NORMAN’S, the premiere, and fastest growing employee-owned Hallmark Gold Crown retailer in the East, is seeking a qualified Part Time Sales Associate for our store at Olney Village Center, Olney, MD. Our Sales Associates are the key contributors in providing a ‘caring team’ atmosphere for our customers. They are most accessible to the consumer and are the primary resource of knowledge on the sales floor. We expect our Sales Associates to show initiative, be a team player, and exemplify excellence during every aspect of the customer experience.

Sales Associate Key Responsibilities:

• Infuse our Customer CARE program into the culture of the store in which you drive retail sales by genuinely connecting with the customer, building relationships, and earning her business.
• Belief that the customer always comes first and is the most important individual to our business.
• Meet store specific Crown Rewards program enrollment goals on a consistent basis.
• Ability to learn and be efficient with our register system to ensure a pleasant point of sale experience for our customers. Accountable for cash register accuracy and basic mathematical skills.
• Learn and utilize outstanding selling skills during customer interactions to build sales and drive customer satisfaction.
• Proactively learn retail product knowledge for all merchandise to use when selling to the customer.
• Maintain and restock displays as directed by store management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
