Job summary

Deseret Book in Salt Lake City is seeking a part-time Store Associate for our DB Overflow location in Taylorsville, UT. You will greet customers, answer questions, operate the cash register, and help customers locate products to ensure a smooth purchase experience.

This role requires flexible shifts including days, evenings, and Saturdays. We value friendly, reliable team members who can assist with lifting merchandise and maintaining an organized store environment in our faith-based retail

Qualifications

• Interacting with customers in-person and over the phone is essential.
• Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge.
• Cash handling, locating products, imprinting and gift-wrapping helpful.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit exceptional sales and customer service by selling Deseret Book products and services.
• Operate cash registers, locate products, take orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping.
• Maintain store appearance by stocking shelves and merchandising.
• Work various shifts including days, evenings, and Saturdays.

Description

• Exhibit exceptional, world-class sales and customer service skills by selling Deseret Book products and services.
• Assist customers by operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping
• Maintain store appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation
• Various shiftsincluding days, evenings, and Saturdays

Required Skills

• Ability to interact with customers in-person and over the phone on a day-to-day basis is an essential function of this position

• Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and holidays (except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day)

• Ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift 35-50 lbs.
