Job summary

Rowan is seeking a friendly, sales-minded Sales Associate for our Palo Alto retail location. You will greet clients, educate them on piercing services and jewelry, and ensure a celebratory, safe experience.

The role is part-time with required weekend availability. You should be comfortable handling inventory, store operations, and maintaining studio cleanliness while contributing to a high-energy customer experience.

Qualifications

• Retail or sales experience is required or preferred.
• Weekend availability is a must.
• Experience with jewelry, ear piercing, or a service/hospitality business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet ear-piercing clients and shoppers.
• Educate clients about Rowan piercing services and jewelry.
• Support needs of clients and shoppers.
• Improve store efficiency and processes for a seamless client experience.
• Restock jewelry and piercing materials.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the studio.
• Perform bi-weekly inventory counts and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage technology and software systems.
• Contribute to Rowan's celebratory atmosphere in the studio.

About our Sales Associates

As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of Rowan for ear piercing clients and jewelry shoppers who visit our retail location Town & Country Village in Palo Alto, CA. You are friendly, organized, and sales-minded, and our clients remember you for the way you made them feel safe and celebrated during their ear-piercing experience.

In addition to your client-facing strengths, you are a highly accountable and resourceful person, and the Rowan team trusts you to manage the day-to-day operations of the piercing studio.

This is a part-time role.

Must be available WEEKENDS!!

• Greet ear-piercing clients and shoppers
• Offer and provide education about Rowan piercing services and jewelry
• Support needs of ear piercing clients and shoppers
• Improve store efficiency and processes to ensure seamless client experience
• Restock jewelry and ear piercing materials
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the studio
• Perform bi-weekly inventory counts and investigate discrepancies
• Manage technology and software systems
• Embody Rowan's culture and values, and work to always create a celebratory atmosphere in the piercing studio
• Retail experience or sales experience
• Experience with jewelry, ear piercing, or a service or hospitality business a plus
• Ability to work independently, ownership-minded

• Compensation: $18-20 per hour + commission!
