Job summary

Weiders Ace Hardware is seeking a floor/cashier to deliver outstanding customer service and fast, accurate checkout experiences at one of our NY stores. You will greet customers, respond to inquiries, and support promotions while maintaining a clean, organized register area.

You'll handle transactions, assist with stocking and merchandising, and help ensure a positive shopping experience for every guest, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in cashier, sales, or back office roles.
• Ability to process information and transactions accurately.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (MS Word, Excel) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Weiders Ace Hardware is a family owned business with three locations in Honeoye Falls, Perinton and Brighton. The primary responsibilities of the floor/cashier position are to maintain helpful customer service, process sales quickly, accurately, and efficiently, and operate the cash register. Additional responsibilities include replenishing, rotating and displaying merchandise as assigned and ensuring that signage is correct.

Requirements

• Ability to process information and/or merchandise through the register system.
• Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a strong willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of retail computer systems, electronic cash registers, MS Word, and Excel a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand for an extended period and move/handle boxes of merchandise.
