Job summary

Starks Ford of Queens in New York is seeking an Automotive Sales Associate to join our new car sales team. The right candidate will have sales experience and a passion for helping people find the right vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive sales preferred.
• Excellent customer service and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented in a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to pass background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers entering the dealership, answer questions and help select a vehicle.
• Sell a minimum number of vehicles based on the goals defined by the sales manager.
• Explain product performance and optional equipment to prospects and determine each customer's vehicle needs.
• Review daily, weekly, monthly and yearly actions to improve time management and planning.
• Offer test drives to prospects and obtain proper identification per dealership policy.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs
• Selling a minimum number of vehicles based on the goals and objectives defined by the sales manager
• Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase. Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
• Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively
• Offering test drives to all prospects and following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification prior to test drive

Requirements

• Automotive sales background preferred
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Strong written and communication skills
• Valid driver's license required and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
