Job summary

Capitol Lighting is seeking a Full-Time Sales Associate for our East Hanover, NJ location. You will consult with homeowners, builders, and designers to assist in purchasing lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and home décor while delivering exceptional service in a high-performance environment.

The role requires strong sales abilities, a drive to learn product details, and excellent communication skills. Two years of retail sales experience and a high school diploma are preferred; college degree is

• Two years of retail sales experience or related experience preferred.
• Strong product knowledge in lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and home décor.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and willingness to develop them.

Responsibilities

• Consult with homeowners, builders, and designers to assist in purchasing lighting fixtures and home décor.
• Demonstrate strong sales skills and grow product knowledge to become a subject matter expert.
• Communicate effectively in person and in writing; perform additional duties as required.

• Consult with a wide range of customers, including homeowners, builders, and designers to assist in the purchase of lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, accent furniture, and other home décor.
• Strong sales skills and ability to enhance product knowledge to become a subject matter expert.
• Ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, and willingness to develop these abilities.
• Additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Strong computer skills and strong multi-tasking skills.
• Two (2) year of previous retail sales experience or related experience preferred.
• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; college degree or currently pursuing preferred.
