Job summary

Yesway in Kiowa, Oklahoma, is looking for a motivated individual to handle customer service and store operations. Responsibilities include ensuring guest hospitality, resolving complaints, maintaining store cleanliness, and stocking merchandise.

The ideal candidate will manage sales transactions efficiently and prepare food as directed. A successful background check and certification testing upon employment will be required. Yesway provides a supportive and inclusive work environment with various benefits.

• Ensure hospitality for all store guests by ensuring timely guest transactions.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner.
• Ensure the proper placement, pricing and stocking of merchandise.

Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure hospitality for all store quests by ensuring timely guest transactions, facilities/store cleanliness, and implementation of Yesway standards;
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner;
• Ensure the proper placement, pricing and stocking of merchandise in the store;
• Process sales transactions, using appropriate equipment;
• Prepare cooked foods as directed by Store Manager or Assistant Manager;
• Maintain shelves, counter, floor, glass and equipment following store maintenance schedule;
• Stock shelves with merchandise, block shelves, bag ice and maintain soft drink bags-in-box;
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Move merchandise/equipment weighing up to a maximum of 60 lbs.;
• Standing on concrete floors for a standard 8 hour shift.;
• Receive and stock merchandise at various heights in designated store locations (normally requires using stooping, bending and stretching motions).

REQUIREMENTS

Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered.

Certification

Successful completion of required certification testing upon employment.
