Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and driven Sales Associate to join our growing team. This role is pivotal in supporting Liberty Ion’s outreach for consulting agreements and small supply product sales. You will be responsible for leveraging Salesforce to track leads, manage client interactions, and execute outreach campaigns, while assisting in drafting and delivering tailored proposals to clients across the energy, cleantech, and health sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Client Outreach & Engagement
• Conduct structured outreach to leads, clients, and grant-funded institutions using Salesforce CRM.
• Prepare and follow up on consulting and service agreements, engaging technical and operations staff as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all interactions and opportunities in Salesforce.
• Develop reports and dashboards to track pipeline activity and outcomes.
Proposal Development
• Coordinate with technical team members to generate tailored proposal packages and service quotes.
• Support preparation of pitch decks, scopes of work, and engagement letters.
Small Batch Sales Support
• Assist with quoting, order tracking, and customer communications for small lab supply and hardware sales.
• Ensure smooth handoff and communication with operations and fulfillment teams.
Market Research & Lead Generation
• Identify new prospects within the battery, energy, or healthcare sectors.
• Analyze competitor activity and help optimize Liberty Ion’s market approach.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 1–3 years of sales, business development, or account management experience, ideally in energy, cleantech, or consulting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple workstreams.
• Demonstrated interest in emerging technology, grant-funded work, or entrepreneurship is a plus.
Preferred Traits
• Comfortable with client-facing communications in a technical environment.
• Familiarity with the grant landscape (DOE, NIH, SBIR/STTR) is a bonus.
• Prior experience in a startup or consulting environment.
• Competitive salary with commission potential.
