Job summary

Fairfield Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Sales Associate to join our new car sales team. You will warmly greet customers, explain vehicle features and options, discuss pricing and financing, and help buyers select a vehicle that best fits their needs and budget.

The ideal candidate has automotive sales experience, excellent customer service, and strong communication and negotiation skills. You will follow a proven sales process, offer test drives, and complete all dealership procedures to

Qualifications

• Automotive sales background preferred.
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a team environment.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; pass background check/drug test.

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering questions and helping them select a vehicle that fits their needs.
• Selling a minimum number of vehicles based on goals defined by the sales manager.
• Explaining product performance, options and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment.
• Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to plan time effectively.
• Offering test drives and obtaining proper identification prior to test drive.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs
• Selling a minimum number of vehicles based on the goals and objectives defined by the sales manager
• Explaining product performance, application and benefits to prospects and describing all optional equipment available for customer purchase. Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening
• Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively
• Offering test drives to all prospects and following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification prior to test drive

Requirements:

• Automotive sales background preferred
• Excellent customer service, organizational and negotiation skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Strong written and communication skills
• Valid driver's license required and clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug test
