Job summary

Yesway is hiring a Store Associate to deliver friendly hospitality, handle guest transactions, stock merchandise, and maintain store cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

You will process sales, assist with food prep as directed, and help ensure compliance with Yesway standards; ability to move up to 60 lbs and stand for 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitality to guests and ensure timely guest transactions, facilities and store cleanliness in line with Yesway standards.
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly.
• Ensure proper placement, pricing and stocking of merchandise in the store.
• Process sales transactions using appropriate equipment.
• Prepare cooked foods as directed by Store Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Maintain shelves, counters, floors, glass and equipment per the maintenance schedule.
• Stock shelves with merchandise, bag ice and manage bags-in-box, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (other duties may be assigned)

• Ensure hospitality for all store quests by ensuring timely guest transactions, facilities/store cleanliness, and implementation of Yesway standards;
• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely manner;
• Ensure the proper placement, pricing and stocking of merchandise in the store;
• Process sales transactions, using appropriate equipment;
• Prepare cooked foods as directed by Store Manager or Assistant Manager;
• Maintains shelves, counter, floor, glass and equipment following store maintenance schedule;
• Stock shelves with merchandise, block shelves, bag ice and maintain soft drink bags-in-box; and
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Move merchandise/equipment weighing up to a maximum of 60 lbs.
• Standing on concrete floors for a standard 8 hour shift.
• Receive and stock merchandise at various heights in designated store locations (normally requires using stooping, bending and stretching motions).

REQUIREMENTS: (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)
