ABOUT OUR RETAIL TEAM

Join our dedicated Retail Team at The Salvation Army! Together, we serve and impact our community through our Silverado Thrift Store, supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Program. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet customers and donors warmly, providing prompt and courteous assistance.
• Stock and merchandise items on the sales floor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store and donation areas.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies in accordance with TSA procedures.
• Ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
• Attend monthly store meetings.
• Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory accurately.
• Inspect products for defects and damages.
• Assist donors with item removal and provide receipts.
• Sort and stack donated materials properly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to operate POS/Cash Register accurately.
• Must pass background checks, including criminal and sex offender registry.
• Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
• Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects like carts, merchandise, and fixtures.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive motions as required.
• Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

SCHEDULE

Our stores operate daily. Work schedules are flexible and determined by management, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for part-time staff.
