Design Within Reach in Washington state is seeking a Sales Assistant to support daily operations in the store and help clients. This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience in sales support, customer service, inventory, and visual merchandising.

You'll report to the Assistant Manager and collaborate with sales and visual teams. The right candidate is passionate about design, eager to learn, and comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, and Gmail.

Store Hours: Open daily, Sunday through Saturday (weekend and holiday availability required)

About the Role:

As a Sales Assistant, you'll support the team and clients by helping with day-to-day operations in the store. You'll gain hands‑on experience in sales support, customer service, inventory, and visual merchandising. This is a support role, ideal for someone early in their career who's eager to learn and grow in a creative, design‑focused environment. You'll report to the Assistant Manager and work closely with our sales and visual teams.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn about our products and design principles through training and team meetingsCommunicate with clients via phone and email to provide helpful, friendly service

What We’re Looking For:

• Interest in design, retail, or customer service
• Previous retail or customer‑facing experience is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and navigating websites
• Willingness to learn systems like salesforce and design software (we'll train you!)
• Able to lift over 40 lbs and move items as needed
