Job summary

Design Within Reach is seeking a Sales Assistant in West Palm Beach to support daily store operations, assist customers, and help with inventory and visual merchandising.

You’ll learn about our products and design principles, work with the sales and visual teams, and provide friendly service over phone and email. The role is ideal for early-career candidates eager to grow in a design-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in design, retail, or customer service
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable using Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Gmail, and navigating websites
• Willingness to learn systems like Salesforce and design software
• Able to lift over 40 lbs and move items as needed

Store Hours: Open daily, Sunday through Saturday (weekend and holiday availability required)

About the Role: As a Sales Assistant, you’ll support the team and clients by helping with day-to-day operations in the store. You’ll gain hand‑on experience in sales support, customer service, inventory, and visual merchandising. This is a support role, ideal for someone early in their career who’s eager to learn and grow in a creative, design-focused environment. You’ll report to the Assistant Manager and work closely with our sales and visual teams.
