Job summary

GREY EAGLE DISTRIBUTORS in Missouri seeks a Sales Assistant to support the Sales & Marketing team with route relief, merchandising, and inventory management, ensuring shelves are stocked and promotions run smoothly.

Responsibilities include executing pricing communications, maintaining displays, coordinating with other departments, and helping with campaigns, promotions, and reporting to the Sales Execution Coordinator. Liquor regulations must be followed at all times.

Responsibilities

• Maintain retail call frequency with structured selling, manage inventory levels, build and restock displays, and handle promotions and pricing.
• Communicate monthly pricing information and monitor price gaps versus competition.
• Introduce and sell in new and existing brands and package promotions to support sell-through.
• Complete paperwork such as point sheets, expense reports, tracking forms and surveys.
• Establish and monitor quality standards for product freshness and losses.
• Coordinate with all Company departments as necessary.
• Participate in evening and weekend promotions as required.
• Make daily decisions on inventory using past sales, data tools, and promotional activity.
• Adhere to liquor regulations and company policies across all activities.

Position Title: Sales Assistant

Department: Sales & Marketing

Position reports to: Sales Execution Coordinator

Primary purpose and function of position: Provide sales route relief and other Sales & Marketing Team support as directed

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintain retail call frequency to include: follow structured selling process, sell in supplier products and provide value added services and resources to retail accounts, maintain appropriate inventory levels, book, build and restock displays as needed, POCM placements, sell in additional shelf space, rotate product, fill shelves, plan promotion activities, follow-up on delivery issues, deliver product when necessary and resolve billing issues
• Communicate monthly pricing information, suggestively sell-in consumer price points and proactively manage price gaps versus competition
• Introduce and sell in new and existing brands and packages including activities to support sell through as necessary
• Complete required paperwork such as point sheets, expense reports, tracking forms, surveys and work orders
• Establish and monitor quality control standards (product freshness, finished product loss)
• Communicate with all Company departments as necessary
• Participate in evening and weekend promotions as necessary
• Make daily decisions regarding retail inventory levels using past sales history, sales data tools (IRI and Mobility 360), competitive activity and special promotional activities
• Maintain all required information in Mobility unit
• Comply with all Wholesaler Equity Agreement requirements, Grey Eagle and supplier standards and policies
• Adhere to all Federal, State and Local liquor regulations
• Other duties as assigned
