Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Sales Arborist Representative for the Near North Shore (Wheeling), IL. You will sell tree care products and services to residential, commercial and governmental clients, performing house-call style assessments and on-site consultations.

As part of the team, you will provide estimates, develop plant health programs, build lasting client relationships and help supervise crew members.

Qualifications

• Must obtain ISA Certified Arborist after hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Regional plant and horticulture knowledge preferred.
• Good people skills; self-motivated; computer proficient and organized.

What You'll Do:

• Learn to work as a tree doctor that makes house calls!
• Educate residential and commercial customers on the needs of their trees.
• Provide customers with estimates based on their needs.
• Develop and update annual plant health care programs.
• Create and build relationships with new and existing clients.
• Set up and supervise crew members assigned to customer jobs.
• Learn to be a part of the office and field management team.
• The Sales Representatives assist the District Manager in the direction of the whole team.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

• Love of the outdoors
• Must obtain ISA Certified Arborist ® after hire
• Required: Valid driver’s license
• Regional plant and horticulture knowledge
• Good people skills; self-motivated; computer proficient and organized
• Must be able to complete extension courses on Tree Biology, Tree Pruning and Removal, and Plant Health Care
• Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
