Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is hiring a sales/field support role based in Lombard, IL. You will learn to perform tree health services, educate customers, provide estimates and help grow a client base while working with the office and field teams.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Must obtain ISA Certified Arborist after hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Regional plant and horticulture knowledge.
• Good people skills; self-motivated; computer proficient and organized.
• Must complete extension courses on Tree Biology, Tree Pruning and Removal, and Plant Health Care.
• Preferred: pesticide/licenses if required by state law.

Job Duties

What You'll Do:

• Learn to work as a tree doctor that makes house calls!
• Educate residential and commercial customers on the needs of their trees.
• Provide customers with estimates based on their needs.
• Develop and update annual plant health care programs.
• Create and build relationships with new and existing clients.
• Set up and supervise crew members assigned to customer jobs.
• Learn to be a part of the office and field management team.
• The Sales Representatives assist the District Manager in the direction of the whole team.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Must obtain ISA Certified Arborist ® after hire
• Required: Valid driver’s license
