Job summary

CED is seeking a dependable, motivated Full Time Sales & Warehouse Associate to support inside sales, customer service, warehouse operations, and inventory management.

This position is ideal for someone building a long-term career in the electrical distribution industry, assisting customers with product selection, quotations, orders, and inventory management. The role includes daily branch operations, with occasional overtime and the possibility of forklift tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Willingness to learn industry-specific warehouse tasks, including wire cutting and material handling.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math and computer proficiency.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quotations for customers using company pricing and product information.
• Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and through email.
• Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist customers with product selection and basic product information.
• Build familiarity and relationships with new and returning customers.
• Follow up on customer quotes and inquiries.
• Support inside sales efforts and branch sales objectives.
• Receive and inspect incoming freight shipments.
• Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
• Stock inventory and organize materials on shelves.
• Pick customer orders accurately.
• Process customer and vendor returns.
• Package and ship materials via UPS and LTL carriers.

CED is seeking a dependable, motivated, and customer-focused Full Time Sales & Warehouse Associate to support inside sales, customer service, warehouse operations, and inventory management.

This position is ideal for an individual looking to build a long-term career in the electrical distribution industry. The successful candidate will assist customers with product selection, prepare quotations, process orders, receive and organize inventory, fulfill customer orders, and support daily branch operations. Every day is different, and success in this role requires a strong work ethic, positive attitude, initiative, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.

Candidates with electrical product knowledge, construction experience, or inside sales experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Schedule:

• Full-time position
• Monday-Friday
• Daytime hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
• Occasional overtime may be available based on business needs

REPORTS TO:

Profit Center Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to squat, kneel, bend, twist, and climb ladders
• Ability to stand and work on a concrete floor for the duration of a shift
• Willingness to learn industry-specific warehouse tasks, including wire cutting and material handling
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• This position works in both an office and warehouse environment and may occasionally require work outdoors.
• Employees may be exposed to varying weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
