Position Summary

Membership Representative
Are you someone that thrives in fast-paced environments and has a strong sales background? Our Membership Representative is a salaried role at Sam’s Club. We are looking for friendly faces with a passion to teach and train associates at registers, self-checkouts, club pickup, and more! You will play a key role in engaging current members to utilize their benefits and developing B2B relationships to grow membership. The pace can be fast, especially evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will manage multiple tasks like visiting businesses, training, and supporting events. It’s hard work but rewarding, especially as part of a large team focused on member satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive membership growth by communicating goals, results, and feedback.
  • Ensure signage and marketing materials are up-to-date.
  • Engage members through cross-functional collaboration to identify training needs.
  • Provide information on membership benefits and promote products and services.
  • Teach associates to process and sell memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts.
  • Support membership events and assist with member account decisions.
  • Build relationships with members and prospective members, matching needs with benefits.
  • Respond to questions and encourage renewals.
  • Lead by example, modeling and training sales and customer service processes.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members, fostering a culture of belonging and high performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and support ethical standards.
  • Promote a culture of respect, integrity, and excellence.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range is $52,000 - $75,000, with performance bonuses and potential regional pay adjustments. Benefits include health coverage, 401(k), stock purchase, paid time off, and education assistance through Live Better U.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related field OR 4 years’ experience in sales or retail.
  • 1 year of B2B sales experience.
