Job summary

EchoStar is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to architect and deliver specialized commercial video and infotainment solutions for enterprise clients. You will analyze complex blueprints, generate BOMs, and engineer RF distribution systems while leading executive-level pitches and pilot rollouts.

You will partner with sales to translate client needs into scalable architectures, oversee BOM creation, and ensure seamless handoffs to installation teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 4–8 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Commercial Telecom Architecture in an enterprise environment.
• Experience with RF distribution networks, headend architectures, coaxial/fiber cabling, and commercial property infrastructure.
• Proficiency in IP networking, video distribution/streaming protocols, DOCSIS, and telecom system monitoring.
• Ability to analyze construction blueprints, electrical schematics, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales Managers on enterprise deals to translate client requirements into scalable, custom video and infotainment architectures.
• Evaluate complex architectural, electrical, and construction blueprints to design optimal low-voltage cabling paths and Bills of Materials.
• Deliver compelling, C-suite level technical presentations and product demonstrations to articulate solution value over competitive alternatives.
• Oversee initial pilot rollouts and execute critical technical handoffs to field installation and support teams to ensure operational readiness.
• Leverage AI tools to streamline blueprint analysis, accelerate Bill of Materials generation, and optimize technical proposal workflows.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Architecting and delivering specialized commercial video and infotainment solutions requires solving complex physical infrastructure constraints, low-voltage layout challenges, and integration friction across enterprise properties. This role resolves custom architectural hurdles and technical escalation bottlenecks by evaluating complex building blueprints, generating precise Bills of Materials, and engineering custom RF distribution systems. Through strategic technical leadership during executive pitches and pilot rollouts, commercial deals achieve accelerated sales cycles, seamless operational handoffs, and long-term customer satisfaction.

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)

• Expertise in commercial video and infrastructure including RF distribution networks, headend architectures, coaxial/fiber cabling, and property layouts
• Fluency in networking and telecom standards including IP networking, video streaming protocols, DOCSIS, and system monitoring practices
• Critical experience analyzing construction blueprints, electrical schematics, and architectural layouts to build technical solution designs
• AI Application skills to enhance presales engineering efficiency, proposal development, and technical requirement mapping
• Exceptional executive presence and communication skills to break down complex technologies into compelling narratives for C-level stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or Master’s degree)
• Minimum Experience: 4-8 years of experience in Sales Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Commercial Telecom Architecture in an enterprise environment
• Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 4 years of experience with:
  • RF distribution networks, headend video architectures, coaxial/fiber cabling, and commercial property infrastructure (MDU, Hospitality, Healthcare)
  • IP networking, video distribution/streaming protocols, DOCSIS, and telecom system monitoring
  • Construction blueprint analysis, electrical schematics interpretation, and Bill of Materials (BOM) creation

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $83,950.00/Year - $119,900.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
