FIRE PROTECTION SALES/SERVICE TECHNICIAN

State Systems, Inc., the leading fire protection company in the Mid-South, is growing and is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity for those passionate about providing excellent service and engaging with new people. It also offers hands-on work and is ideal for mechanically minded individuals.

This role is crucial for ensuring the effectiveness and compliance of fire protection systems within commercial facilities, including sales, installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of fire protection systems, fire extinguishers, and emergency lighting systems.

Compensation packages reward hard-working individuals. The potential first-year compensation ranges from $45,000 to $60,000, with top performers earning more!

Job Duties:
  1. Sell services and products within assigned territory, maintaining sales/service quotas and following guidelines.
  2. Inspect, service, install fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and exit/emergency lighting.
  3. Identify prospects using creative lead generation techniques.
  4. Present sales proposals, highlighting features and advantages over competitors.
  5. Follow up with prospects.
  6. Process work orders and complete paperwork according to procedures.
  7. Service existing accounts and new customers.
Core Competencies:
  1. Proficient in Windows-based software and MS Office 2000 or higher.
  2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  3. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
  4. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  5. Strong analytical, mechanical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  6. Flexible, results-oriented, with problem-solving aptitude.
  7. Able to work full-time, with an entrepreneurial drive.
Physical Requirements & Exposures:
  1. Good physical condition; able to work outdoors, lift up to 75 pounds, and carry 50 pounds repeatedly.
  2. Capable of pushing and pulling over 100 pounds, climbing ladders, and reaching heights of at least 12 ft.
  3. Must not be sensitive to chemicals or respiratory irritants encountered.
  4. Successful completion of background check and drug screening required.
