Job summary

Gills Point S Tire is seeking a Sales & Service Technician to blend customer service with automotive duties in a hands-on shop setting. You’ll greet customers, assess vehicle needs, and recommend tires and services while performing tire work and maintenance.

Qualifications

Experience in automotive, tire, retail sales, or customer service is preferred.
Ability to talk with customers and recommend products and services.
Experience performing tire services, oil changes, and preventive maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to continue learning.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers and build lasting relationships through outstanding service.
Listen to customer concerns and recommend tires, maintenance, and repair services based on vehicle needs.
Educate customers on tire options, preventative maintenance, and manufacturer recommendations.
Prepare estimates and confidently present service recommendations.
Help customers make informed purchasing decisions while delivering an exceptional experience.
Support store sales goals by identifying opportunities to add value through honest, solution-based recommendations.
Mount, balance, rotate, repair, and replace tires.
Perform oil changes, fluid exchanges, and preventative maintenance services.
Conduct vehicle inspections and identify tire, brake, suspension, steering, and other maintenance concerns.
Replace filters, wiper blades, bulbs, batteries, and other routine service items.
Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
Work closely with fellow technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
Help maintain inventory and merchandise displays.
Complete repair orders and accurately document services performed.
Deliver the high-quality workmanship and customer service that Gills Point S is known for.

What You'll Do

Assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.

Teamwork & Operations

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Automotive, tire, retail sales, or customer service experience preferred.
Comfortable talking with customers and recommending products and services.
Experience performing tire services, oil changes, and preventative maintenance.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to continue learning.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds, and safely operating shop equipment while working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must be able to perform work both inside the shop and outdoors in varying weather conditions while following all company safety policies.
