Job summary

Safety-Kleen, a subsidiary of Clean Harbors, is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver to operate a Class B box truck, service parts washer machines, and pick up hazardous waste along a defined route. This role emphasizes safety, customer service, and meeting daily service commitments.

The position requires a Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days, strong communication skills, and the ability to work 10–12 hour days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must complete background check, drug test and medical exam.
• As per OSHA respirator standards, facial hair rules apply.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by following safe work practices and policies.
• Visit 10-12 customer sites per day.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and remove sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing clients.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups on time.
• Follow all local, state, and federal regulations.
• Safely operate vehicles per DOT and company guidelines.
• Observe all environmental health and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This role will train to drive a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products/services in a defined route.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Class B CDL
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Per OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills
• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
