Job summary

Safety-Kleen in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver to operate a Class B box truck, service parts washers, and collect hazardous waste along a defined route.

You will upsell products/services at customer sites and generate new leads while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. This role supports automotive, fleets, and manufacturing customers and offers potential for growth within Clean Harbors.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL required.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills needed for daily tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Must successfully complete background check, drug test and physical as applicable.
• Must adhere to OSHA respirator and safety standards as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• May visit 10-12 customer sites per day
• Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions
• Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field
• Service automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner
• Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

• Class B CDL
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment
• Basic computer and math skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Perform physical functions per job requirements
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
• Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong customer service skills
• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL)
