Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and professionalism.
• Comfortable working on-site, including farms and production facilities.
• Based in or willing to commute to the Sioux City, IA area.
• Proficient with basic computer and presentation tools (PowerPoint).
• Background or coursework in agriculture, food, or business is a plus, but not required.
• Comfortable in a small, cross-functional team.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn products and business end-to-end, with hands-on time at partner farms and facilities.
• Assist in maintaining and servicing existing client accounts, fulfilling orders and daily needs.
• Support the sales team with materials such as presentations, decks, and product samples.
• Represent Heritage Pork International at industry trade shows (2–3 major shows per year, plus regional events).
• Support marketing and advertising coordination tied to sales efforts.
• Grow over time into identifying and developing new account opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with ownership and the broader team in a small-company environment.

Our flagship brand, Heritage Berkshire, is built on Berkshire (Kurobuta) genetics — a Japanese heritage breed known for exceptional marbling, tenderness, and flavor. Often described as the \"Wagyu of pork,\" our product is raised by independent, family-owned farms across the Midwest using humane, sustainable practices, and produced in small, limited quantities. Our customers include high-end restaurants, specialty butcher shops, premium grocery chains, and national foodservice distribution across the country.

Position Overview

Heritage Pork International is looking for an entry-level Sales & Marketing Associate to join our small, hands-on team based in the Sioux City, IA area. This role is ideal for someone early in their career — recent graduates or those with minimal professional experience are encouraged to apply. What You'll Do

• Assist in maintaining and servicing existing client accounts, helping fulfill orders and manage day‑to‑day account needs
• Support the sales team with materials such as presentations, sales decks, and product samples
• Represent Heritage Pork International at industry trade shows (2–3 major shows per year, plus smaller regional events)
• Support marketing and advertising coordination tied to sales efforts
• Grow over time into identifying and developing new account opportunities
• Partner closely with ownership and the broader team in a small-company, all‑hands environment

What We're Looking For

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., product boxes at production or trade show setup/breakdown)

Compensation & Growth

• Base salary: $45,000–$50,000, plus performance-based bonus
• Clear growth path toward a full sales role with your own book of accounts
