Job summary

Berkeley City Club is seeking an ambitious Events team member to guide clients from inquiry to completion for private events, corporate gatherings, weddings, social functions, and group hotel blocks.

You will support Sales and Catering Managers to hit targets, collaborate across teams, and maintain meticulous organization in a dynamic, multicultural setting.

Qualifications

• Self-starter who will support the Sales and Catering Managers to achieve sales targets.
• Open and willing to work in a multicultural environment.
• Highly organized with the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, members, and team members.
• High attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new tasks.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
• Proficient in property management systems including Clubessential and ReserveCloud.

Responsibilities

Description: The Berkeley City Club is a historic hotel, event space, restaurant and bar, and social club. We are looking for an ambitious "people person" to complete our fast-paced Events team. In this role, you will guide clients through the private event process from inquiry to completion. You will be the go‑to person for a variety of clientele, including corporate, weddings and social, membership, and team member appreciation events as well as group hotel blocks.

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ years of experience in event management preferred, Hospitality and/or Club industry is a plus
• An enthusiastic and proactive work ethic
• Ability to collaborate effectively both as a team or independently
• Excellent organizational skills
