Job summary

Rohit Industries Group is seeking an Application Engineer Cutting Tools to support customers with on-site tool trials, programming, and parameter optimization. This hands-on role requires experience with VMC/CNC machines and Fanuc/Siemens/Heidenhain controls.

You will work with the sales team to provide technical guidance, interpret drawings, and ensure product performance meets customer expectations.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or Diploma/ITI in mechanical fields.
• 2–5 years CNC/VMC machining experience with tooling.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Application Engineer Cutting Tools to join our technical team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, demonstrating tooling solutions, writing machine programs, and conducting successful tool trials at customer sites to drive customer satisfaction and product performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Support & Tool Trials: Conduct on-site tool trials, performance demonstrations, and testing at customer facilities.
2. Programming & Machine Operation: Prepare and optimize G-code/M-code programs for VMC and CNC machines according to component drawings.
3. Process Optimization: Recommend appropriate cutting parameters (speed, feed, depth of cut, inserts/tooling selection) to improve machining productivity and tool life.
4. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve machining, tool wear, chatter, or surface finish issues during operations.
5. Technical Assistance: Assist sales teams with technical discussions, cycle time calculations, and tooling recommendations for client projects.

Qualifications & Educational Background

Education: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or ITI (Machinist/Tool & Die Maker).

Experience: 2~5 years of experience in CNC/VMC machining, cutting tool applications, or manufacturing.

Key Technical Skills & Competencies

• Strong working knowledge of VMC and CNC turning/milling machines.
• Hands-on proficiency in manual CNC/VMC G-code programming (Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhain, etc.).
• Expertise in cutting tool selection (carbide inserts, end mills, drills, taps, custom tooling).
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills and technical communication.
